Winter Birding with the Ridgefield Conservation Commission

12/17/2022 02:45 PM - 04:15 PM ET

Description

Join WNC educator Tommy McCarthy and the Ridgefield Conservation Commission on a leisurely guided walk through Ridgefield's Sarah Bishop Trail to look for, listen for, and learn about native birds! While many of our feathered friends have departed south, others have arrived and are species you can only see here in the colder months. We will also learn about feeding birds and what visitors you can attract and watch out for in your own backyard. The walk will take place on the Sarah Bishop Trail, an easy to navigate path with unique history that cuts through gorgeous wooded wetland habitat. All interest levels are welcome, this program is for anyone who loves or wants to discover more local open spaces and the birds that live in them!

This program is in partnership with the Ridgefield Conservation Commission and Woodcock Nature Center. Bird species observed will be added to the Ridgefield Natural Resource Inventory.
